Goddess Wine
In 2022, I worked on a dream project, illustrating and designing labels for Tucker Brewing’s one-off beers. It was the coolest project I have ever worked on in my career. (See the beer labels here.)
Ever since then, I have wanted to find more projects like that — using my style, art direction, and illustrations to tell a beverage’s story.
In an effort to introduce myself and my services to other breweries, wineries, and even coffee shops, I created an illustrated promotional piece.
I wanted my promotional piece to depict wonder. A sense of celestial energy. Power, divinity, and peace.
The illustration itself depicts a goddess in the stars, pouring one out for the humans down on earth.
My hope is that this story, the feelings it evokes, and the overall aesthetic of my drawing will entice potential clients to see more of my work, potentially reach out, and potentially work together.
So much of my career has been made from pitching myself. Reaching out directly to Art Directors, connecting with mutual contacts on LinkedIn, submitting to open submissions. At this point, I have grown accustomed to putting myself in front of potential clients and making a case for myself.
Thankfully, as an illustrator, so much of my work can speak for itself.
And I hope that this promotional piece does just that when it reaches the doorsteps of breweries, wineries, and coffee shops in the coming weeks.
